Adrian Garibaldi, originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, is a dedicated Krav Maga instructor with over a decade of experience in self-defense training. His journey into Krav Maga began in 2009 after surviving a shooting at the hands of two armed criminals. That day, he understood firsthand what it means to be a victim of crime. Determined to never feel helpless again, Adrian decided to train in Krav Maga—not just for himself but to help others change their fate by sharing his experience and preventing them from facing the same ordeal. In 2012, he completed his first instructor course in Montevideo. By 2013, he had achieved the rank of Graduate 1 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and opened his own academy, which continues to thrive with students who have trained with him since the beginning. His expertise extends beyond civilian training. Since 2016, Adrian has worked with the Uruguayan National Army, instructing the Counterterrorism Unit and the Commando Company. He also served as an instructor for Military Operations in Urban Terrain (OMTU) at the Military School. His experience includes training specialized forces such as the Investigations Police of Zone 4 in Montevideo and the Argentine Federal Police in Buenos Aires. In 2019, Adrian traveled to Israel, where he achieved the prestigious Expert 1 rank in Krav Maga. Beyond his passion for Krav Maga, Adrian enjoys spending time with family and friends, drinking mate (a traditional Uruguayan beverage), and engaging in a good game of chess.

Martin Rodriguez
Martin Cano Rodriguez is a dedicated Krav Maga Instructor (E1) with over three decades of experience in martial arts and self-defense. Born in Buenos Aires in 1972, he later moved to Campana City, where he founded Centro Cultura Oriente in 2001—his own martial arts center dedicated to developing physical ability, mental focus, and real-world combat preparedness. There, he has spent years teaching Kung Fu, Tai Chi, Kickboxing, Taekwondo, Boxing, and Krav Maga to students of all ages. Martin’s journey into martial arts began at the age of five with Karate and Taekwondo. At twelve, he was already practicing Judo, and by fifteen, he had fully immersed himself in Kung Fu, Kickboxing, Full Contact, and Boxing. By the time he was 17, he was already leading classes for children—starting a teaching career that has now spanned well over 30 years. His transition into Krav Maga came naturally through his work training police personnel around 2003. The need for practical, adaptable solutions to real-life violence led him to embrace Krav Maga fully, and in 2008 he began his first military instructor course. He would go on to meet and train under Ilya Dunsky, who would later certify him at his current level of E1. Martin’s expertise quickly caught the attention of security forces across Argentina. Over the years, he has trained elite personnel from the Argentine Federal Police, the Presidential Custody Unit in Olivos, and the Naval Prefecture, where he continues to instruct specialized units such as AGGU and GIR. He currently trains cadets at the Non-Commissioned Officers’ School of the Argentine Naval Prefecture, providing tactical instruction grounded in Krav Maga’s principles of simplicity, efficiency, and adaptability. Beyond national borders, Martin has brought his knowledge to students in Bolivia, the Dominican Republic, and Uruguay, working with both civilian groups and security professionals. His experience is as diverse as it is deep, and his students—many of whom have been with him for over 15 or even 20 years—stand as a testament to his commitment, consistency, and care as an instructor. In addition to his Krav Maga credentials, Martin holds advanced ranks in several disciplines, including a 6th-degree black belt in Kickboxing, a 5th-degree in Tuan Kung Fu and Tai Chi Chuan, a 2nd-degree in ITF Taekwondo, a 1st-degree in World Taekwondo, and recognition as a certified boxing technician by the Argentine Boxing Federation. His holistic approach to martial arts has shaped not only skilled fighters, but confident individuals with strong minds and grounded values. Martin’s philosophy runs deeper than technique. For him, Krav Maga is not just a system—it’s a way of life. It reflects his purpose: to help others discover their strength, build confidence, and face life with discipline, clarity, and resilience. Off the mat, he’s a devoted family man who values physical activity, community, and the joy of spending time with friends—true to his Argentine roots. Whether training military forces or guiding everyday people on their journey to personal growth, Martin lives by a simple principle: the path of the warrior is a commitment to protect, to grow, and to live with purpose.

Expert Krav Maga Instructor
Dariusz Jemielniak
Dariusz Jemielniak is a Krav Maga Expert Level 1 and a world-renowned academic whose career bridges the physical discipline of self-defense with the intellectual rigor of scientific inquiry. Born and raised in Warsaw, Poland during the final years of socialism, Dariusz grew up in a time of contrasts—scarcity and simplicity, strict systems and quiet freedoms. These early experiences shaped his lifelong pursuit of systems that work—whether in martial arts, education, or society. While Dariusz spent decades training in various martial arts, it wasn’t until his early thirties that he discovered Krav Maga. Tired of rigid rules and stylized routines, he was drawn to its directness, its logic, and its respect for real-life unpredictability. In 2014, he completed the General Instructor Course in Budapest, and after progressing through the ranks with precision and care, earned his Expert certification in Israel in 2021. Although he has never opened an academy—his full-time commitments as a scholar and global speaker keep him constantly on the move—Dariusz has led self-defense seminars in multiple countries and continues to explore the science of effective teaching. His academic work focuses on disinformation, artificial intelligence, bot networks, and online collaboration. A professor and department head at Kozminski University, faculty associate at Harvard University, and vice president of the Polish Academy of Sciences, he is also the author of groundbreaking books including Thick Big Data (Oxford University Press), Collaborative Society (MIT Press), and Using AI in Academic Writing and Research (Palgrave, 2025). Fluent in English and Polish, and active across Poland, the U.S., Spain, and Scandinavia, Dariusz brings a global perspective to Krav Maga education. His mission is to help shape a new kind of curriculum—one rooted in cognitive science, movement mechanics, and spaced repetition—that respects both the body’s limits and the brain’s potential. Alongside a growing circle of scholars and instructors, he is part of the ID Krav Maga initiative to bring science into the heart of Krav Maga—proving that its effectiveness is not only felt in battle, but now also measured, studied, and confirmed in the eyes of science. Beyond his academic and martial contributions, Dariusz is known for his sharp intellect, unorthodox humor, and deep respect for learners of all kinds—especially those who believe they’re “too old” or “not tough enough” to train. Off the mat, he enjoys Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, ocean breezes, and spending time with his wife and daughter in the perfect climate—somewhere between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.

Upon returning to Chile, Rodrigo continued his development across different Krav Maga systems, ultimately earning the title of Chief Instructor in one of them. For many years, he served in a special security unit of the Omsk Departmental Security, working in railway protection under demanding and high-risk conditions. This background, which included operational security, pursuit situations, and weapons training, strengthened his conviction that while sport develops performance, true self-defense must prepare a person for unpredictability, pressure, and genuine danger. His path in Israeli Krav Maga began in 2010, when he was introduced to its direct and highly practical approach to real-life threats. Drawn to its efficiency, clarity, and absence of ritual, he committed himself fully to the system, training for years before completing the civilian instructor course in 2014. He later advanced through specialized children’s and law enforcement programs, including professional training in Israel. Today, he serves as an instructor in the Israeli Krav Maga Tactical Self-Defense System in Omsk, holding the rank of G2. Andrey leads a Krav Maga club in Omsk dedicated to the instruction of adults and children, with particular emphasis on child personal safety. His work focuses not only on physical skills, but on awareness, prevention, and the ability to respond effectively in everyday environments. His students range from very young children to experienced adults and professionals, reflecting both the breadth of his teaching and his ability to adapt with precision to different ages, needs, and realities. Beyond the training floor, Andrey is passionate about painting and visual art, a discipline that reflects the same focus, depth, and inner discipline that define his teaching. Today, Gonçalo is preparing the launch of his own school, Ultra Terminum Krav Maga, located in Carnaxide, Portugal. The project represents an important step in his professional path and reflects his vision of building a solid and sustainable environment for realistic self-defense training and personal growth. Outside of Krav Maga, Gonçalo enjoys spending time with his wife and with his dogs and cats. He also has a deep interest in breathing methodologies and their connection to physical and mental performance. Currently, he is attending the Oxygen Advantage Advanced Instructor Training, further developing his understanding of functional breathing, recovery, stress management, and emotional control under pressure. Through his training and teaching, Gonçalo believes that self-defense goes far beyond physical techniques.
