Growing Roots in South America with Love, passion, and protection

This week was special in Chile

We had exams.

We had effort.

We had sweat.

And we had Dragons leveling up.

Every time someone earns a new level in ID Krav Maga, it is more than technique. It is growth. It is commitment. It is a quiet promise to become stronger, calmer, more capable.

And this week, that promise echoed loudly across South America.

Our seed is still small.

But it is alive. And it is growing.

Soon we will deliver courses and seminars in Chile, Argentina, Brazil, and beyond. What started as a few connections is slowly becoming a movement of people who care about real protection, real responsibility, and real strength.

For me, this is deeply personal.

My connection to Latin America is not theoretical. It is family. It is love. My wife is Brazilian. Because of her, I learned the rhythm of a continent. I learned that sometimes a flying flip flop (or whatever is in hands) may come across the room, and thankfully I know how to defend against it.

But I also learned much more.

I learned that Latin America is not one thing. It is not one story. It is not one culture. It is a fruit salad of flavors, accents, music, histories, and identities. Brazil is not Chile. Chile is not Argentina. Argentina is not Colombia. Each country carries its own scars and its own pride.

Yet many share harsh realities.

Violence against women.

Street robberies.

Home invasions.

Organized crime.

Political instability.

Economic pressure.

Fear in daily movement.

These are not abstract ideas. They affect families. They affect confidence. They affect the way people walk home at night.

But that is only half the story.

I have tasted the sweetness too.

The unstoppable laughter.

The getting home and catching a latina dancing with the vacum cleaner.

The fact that personal space is more of a suggestion than a rule.

The passion.

The loyalty.

The work ethic.

The fire.

Brazilians, Chileans, Argentinians, Colombians, Peruvians and so many more . They work hard. They fight for their dreams. They get knocked down and stand up again. There is something powerful in that spirit. Something resilient.

And that is why ID Krav Maga belongs there.

Krav Maga is not about aggression.

It is not about ego.

It is about protecting life.

It is about empowering good people.

It is about giving tools to stand strong when adversity comes.

The journey ahead will not be easy. It will be hard. It will be costly. It will demand travel, sacrifice, and constant effort. But I believe deeply that with small consistent actions we are building something meaningful.

A safer Brazil.

A stronger Chile.

A more prepared Argentina.

A more resilient Colombia.

A more empowered Peru.

And many more to come.

The Dragons are rising.

The instructors are stepping forward.

The communities are opening their doors.

I learned to love every single aspect of Latin America. Thhe chaos, the warmth, the music, the resilience, the humor, the intensity.

And I will protect the world that gave me a family, love, and incredible people to care about.

I will protect it with what I know best.

Protection.

Responsibility.

And heart.

This is only the beginning.
